About Us

Burlington Building Materials is your go-to, locally owned and operated lumber store. We have been a part of the Burlington community since 1993. Vince Stadel took ownership over and has, since then, created more opportunities and opened more doors to help fit the community’s needs. For years, Burlington Building Materials has served the towns of New Strawn, Ottumwa, Sharpe, Jacobs Creek Landing, LeRoy, Gridley, Aliceville, Halls Summit, Westphalia, Hartford, Beto Junction, and Burlington.

Our store is no longer with Do It Best, Corp., we are with Orgill: Wholesale Distribution. Orgill serves more than 11,000 retail hardware stores, home centers, pro lumber dealers, and farm stores throughout the United States and Canada, and over 50 countries around the world.

From foundation to finishing touches, we are your one stop shop to bring your projects to life. If we don’t have it on the shelf or in the yard, be sure to ask, as we may be able to order it for you. We provide a wide scope of products associated with lumber, hardware, tools, equipment, paint, paint supplies, windows, doors, power tools, electrical and plumbing accessories, masonry, lawn & garden, automotive, cleaning supplies, and much more!
